Curriculum Vitae
Profile
As a CFD engineer, I have strong technical skills including coding languages such as C, C++, and Python, as well as software tools like OpenFOAM and ANSYS. I am completing a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Heriot-Watt University and have experience as a demonstrator, lab assistant, and intern in various research and industry settings. My research experience includes developing new continuum models for flow in porous media and modelling multi-layered fluid flows over structured substrates. I have excellent problem-solving and communication skills, as demonstrated through my role as a PhD student representative and in my past internship roles.

Research Experience
Heriot-Watt University [ Ph.D. Dissertation ]
Title: New continuum paradigm to porous media flows
Nov 2018 – Present
Designed new continuum flow model for flow in porous media, at both pore- and Darcy-scale using Korteweg-type compressible fluid flow equations.
Developed and published computational model of the new flow equations as a solver application using OpenFOAM.
Simulated compressible flow in micro- and nano-scale geometries to validate the model.
BITS Pilani University [ Master’s Thesis ]
Title: Modelling Multi-layered Fluid Flow Over Structured Substrates
Aug 2017 - May 2018
Derived reduced-order models for a bilayer thin-film flow over substrates, using asymptotic approximations and long wave theory.
Scrutinized the dynamics of the system, by doing time-dependent computations of the resulting nonlinear equations.
Analyzed the stability of the system by performing a linear stability analysis of the reduced-order equations.
BITS Pilani University [ Undergraduate Thesis ]
Title: Process identification and parameter estimation for fermentation
Jan 2016 - May 2016
Non-linear optimisation was used to find steady state solutions for a batch reactor system.
Determined kinetics parameters (Arrhenius frequency factor and Activation Energy) by conducting fermentation reaction of ethanol in laboratory at different temperatures.
Developed hierarchical framework for identification and implementation of the process control model.
